Atrium Ljungberg reduces energy costs and the risk of fire

Energy efficient long-term solution for real estate company
Atrium Ljungberg is one of Sweden’s largest listed real estate companies, committed to long-term sustainability in everything they do. They were among the first property owners in Sweden to install an effective solution to treat the kitchen exhaust air. The installation was made at the large canteen at Atlas Copco’s head office in Stockholm.
The problem.
Atrium Ljungberg was concerned about the high costs for the regular manual flushing of the kitchen exhaust ducts. They were determined to reduce odors and the fire risk caused by the grease build-up.
The solution.
The property owner decided to install a high-performance RENA ozone system from Ozonetech. It was chosen for capacity reasons; a single unit is sufficient to purify the entire air flow. In addition, an assembly is sufficient to clean both channels. Another aspect was that once the equipment is installed and in operation, hardly any maintenance is needed as the system is self-propelled.
Evaluation.
The problems with the spread of cooking odors, and the grease buildup in the ducts, decreased significantly. The need to clean the ducts is minimized. But the main benefit is the money saved by energy recovery.
