Decolorization.
Decolorisation of liquids and water is a very common process in most food and beverage industries.
Thanks to its extremely high yield of the functional surface area (ranging from 1500-2500 m2/g), special pore structure and chemical property, GAC, has, since long been used in industrial decoloring and refining processes, among others for sugarcane juice, edible oil, potable water, and distillery wastewater.
Phosphoric acid activated wood based carbon, which is characterized by its mesopores and micropores, is specifically ideal for decolorization.
