Air treatment at incinerator plant
A waste incineration plant makes energy out of garbage. The plant handles large amounts of waste, which in turn smells because of the high bacterial load.
The air in the so-called reception hall is often contaminated and to get good air exchange in the reception hall, large amounts of contaminated air is sucked into the furnace.
A major waste incinerator asked us to help with odor reduction during a planned shutdown for inspection and maintenance. While their incinerator was offline the accumulate trash and odor impact in and around the plant grows every day as the plant is stopped.
The solution was to place a compact ICT ozone skid on the small area available.
Our client is very pleased with the outcome since this was the first time they did not get complaints from local residents. The client could adjust the ozone production and immediately noticed the difference in ambient air.
