Dechlorination.
Dechlorination of water before release to nature prevents the formation of harmful chlorinated contaminants in drinking water and the entire ecosystem, which cause health problems for all inhabiting species.
Removing chlorine from process water prevents deposits on industrial equipment and water systems, such as reverse osmosis, ion exchange or vapor compression systems, which otherwise lead to corrosion.
GAC is an effective method for removing chlorine. Activated carbon filtration is reliable and requires less maintenance compared to chlorine removal with bisulfite or other chemical dosing.
