Joint project between Mellifiq and Hjo municipality

Mellifiq Academy hosts a seminar at Hjo municipality to present the results from a joint project for removal of pharmaceutical residues from the municipal wastewater treatment plant.

The project successfully achieved 98% API removal (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) based on the measurements and substantially exceeds the initial targets. The additional treatment helps protect aquatic life in the receiving water body (Vättern Lake), which is one of Sweden’s largest.

The academy session was well attended by politicians, technical managers and other decision makers from Hjo as well as several other municipalities.
