Mellifiq announces collaboration with VAMAS to reduce pharmaceutical residues wastewater treatment plant

Mellifiq is happy to announce a collaboration with Vatten & Avfall i Sälen-Malung (VAMAS) to reduce pharmaceutical residues from Sälfjället wastewater treatment plant, using grants from Naturvårdsverket.

The treatment plant at Sälfjället experiences extreme load variations because of the nearby ski resort. A customized containerized water treatment system will be used to investigate how to scale-up an advanced pharmaceutical treatment system at their site.

VAMAS is currently planning an expansion of their plant, and this pilot project fits well within the scope of their current investigations.
