Mellifiq has successfully commissioned a cyanide removal plant

To the satisfaction of one of our key clients, the Mellifiq engineering team has now successfully commissioned a large-scale industrial wastewater treatment solution. Our customer, one of the big players in the coating industry, has struggled with huge environmental challenges for decades.

The Mellifiq turn-key solution, based on ozonation and AOP (Advanced Oxidation Process), will not only generate significant operating savings and great business value for our customer but also positively impact their environmental footprint, with up to 2000 tons of eq-CO2 emissions per year.

Our solution breaks the linearly bridged metal-cyanide complex formations, which is a by-product in this process, replacing more than 500 tons of chemical-based oxidants annually.

The comissioning is a part of a state-funded project backed by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and its initiative to support projects which deliver significant climate change preventive measures in industrial and municipal facilities.
