Mellifiq helps combat high levels of pharmaceutical residues

In a study by Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), in collaboration with the local water protection associations, high concentrations of harmful pharmaceutical residues and other emerging substances were found in Sweden’s three largest lakes – Lake Vänern, Vättern and Mälaren, along with their surrounding watercourses, sewage treatment plants and drinking water plants.
