Ozone – a first step towards a salmonella-free Denmark

Ozonetech has after successful trial testing received an order for a complete ozone system to one of Denmark’s largest feed mills.

Thanks to far-reaching efforts, Sweden is relatively free from salmonella since the 1950s. The situation in Europe and the rest of the world is unfortunately another. Outbreaks in Denmark is not unusual despite extensive monitoring programs since the 1990s. In addition to being a danger to human life and health, outbreaks also causes major downtime costs and losses of livestock.

Ozonetech’s system will break down bacteria and salmonella directly in the feed mills’ transport system and effectively stop the spread of salmonella through feed. As such the system is a first step to genuinely break the chain where feed infect animals which in turn infect humans.
