Ozone system to international textile manufacturer
Ozonetech has received a significant order for a large international textile manufacturer to treat complex industrial wastewater. Ozonetech’s client, located in South America, consulted Ozonetech to find an effective solution to the facility’s process wastewater produced from screen printing units. New legislative demands on lowering the effluent biological and chemical oxygen demand (COD and BOD) required a new approach to reaching acceptable standards.
Together with the client, who provided sample water, a pilot project was conducted at Ozonetech’s manufacturing facility in Stockholm. Ozonetech regularly conducts pilot project to establish the feasibility of process wastewater treatment from various industries, such as textile manufacturing and pharmaceutical residues. This approach also enables proper scaling to a full size ozone treatment system. It was concluded that Ozonetech’s technology successfully degraded the process water COD and BOD content to required levels.
The system, from Ozonetech’s newly launched RENA Tellus X segment, will treat approximately 20 m3 of process wastewater per day containing solvents and other non-biodegradable constituents.
