Pharmaceutical residue in Stockholm in sewer systems

Our ICT-10 ozone generator was used in this project. The project had a number of aims, namely to fi nd methods and tools preventing the unnecessary discharge of pharmaceuticals into the sewer systems; to map the concentrations of pharmaceuticals in effl uents from the waste water treatment plants (WWTPs), in the receiving waters and in the drinking water; to fi nd out how pharmaceutical substances are reduced and degraded in the operating WWTPs and, fi nally, to study the possibility to further reduce pharmaceuticals in waste waters by new advanced techniques.
