Process water from the chemical industry

Ozonetech Systems OTS AB has during the past month conducted several trial water treatment tests on the effluent from a large chemical manufacturing company.

The tests have been performed in our own pilot plant which perfectly suited for these type of tests. Initial parameters where measured as well as varied and combined with various treatment processes to enhance the oxidizing effect of ozone. The treatment system applies our patented AOP technology (Advanced Oxidation Process) with a special catalyst boosting the efficiency.

The goal of the tests where to gather information for the design of a full-scale water treatment plant to reduce TOC levels in the effluent process water. As in many other cases ozone oxidation was combined with traditional treatment methods in order to achieve maximum cost-efficiency with respect to investment and operation costs.

The tests passed according to plan and the results are very promising.
