Ozonetech contributes to scientific research together with university of Umeå. The article “Fate of three anti-influenza drugs during ozonation of wastewater effluents – degradation and formation of transformation products” which is being published in the journal Chemosphere is now available.

Highlights

Removal of anti-influenza drugs during wastewater ozonation was evaluated.
Major TPs formed during ozonation were identified and semi-quantified.
Increasing and later decreasing TPs concentration followed decrease of anti-influenza drugs.
Anti-influenza drugs and major TPs formed were removed during the experiment.
Removal efficiency of ozone varied with the wastewater matrix.
