Introduction.
Rudanskolan looks towards a lower carbon footprint by employing ozone solution
Rudanskolan is a public elementary school for children in the fourth through the ninth grade. It is located in the Handen municipality, Stockholm County, and has a beautiful view over the Rudan lake.
Swedish municipal-owned schools were pioneers in the kitchen exhaust air treatment. Not just to handle the odors, but for recovering the heat energy in the kitchen exhaust.
In 2020, we installed an Ozonetech RENA 40 ozone system (part of the Ozonetech RENA Kitchen Solutions) in Rudanskolan in order to reduce energy costs in the winter season.
Thanks to our kitchen exhaust air treatment solution, the school has now a lower heating bill, a reduced carbon footprint, and a more sustainable kitchen.
In total, we have helped more than 30 schools to minimize odors, fire risk and recover heat energy.
