Mellifiq assists Finnish silicon wafer manufacturer in complying with strict wastewater regulations

Okmetic is a Finnish company founded in 1985 with a large worldwide sales network. By producing high value-added silicon wafers, their operation is vital for manufacturing sensors, semiconductors and analog circuits. As large water quantities are used in their productions, there has been an increasing demand for treating the effluent, especially due to tighter regulations. After the initial pretreatment, they chose to install our UV reactor as a final polishing step. Since the commissioning day, no ozone-based hazardous by-products were found in their wastewater, confirming the efficacy and reliability of our products.
