Leader in animal feed production chose our ozone system to tackle extensive contamination
Our customer is a leading company within the animal feed industry, having a history spanning three centuries. In 2017, they contacted Mellifiq due to serious issues caused by contamination with legionella at their plant in Denmark, and requested a solution for disinfecting the ventilation in the production area.
As in other food industries, bacteria such as legionella and salmonella pose a serious contamination threat. Due to an eventual infestation of the animal feed transportation ducts, the pathogens can spread further and put the production area at serious risk.
The company chose to prevent this issue by sanitizing the entire transportation duct system with ozone. They turned to Mellifiq for a solution consisting of five Ozonetech RENA Pro ozone systems. By ozonating on weekends, they have successfully prevented contamination in the production area since 2017, with great savings and a more stable production uptime.
